WASHINGTON — A season-best 23 points and a Patriot League win has earned men's basketball senior Jesse Reed GEICO – AU Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, Jan. 24.
Reed led the Eagles to their first league win of the season on Jan. 20, a 81-73 win at Lafayette. Reed and freshman
Delante Jones combined for 46 points in the win, as American shot 54 percent from the field.
Reed is one of 10 players in the NCAA to lead their team in points (12.1), rebounds (3.9) and assists (35).
American is back on the road this Wednesday, Jan. 27, when it visits Navy in a 7 p.m. contest.
