WASHINGTON – A pair of individual victories to start 2016 off right have earned Kilian Korth the GEICO – AU Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, Jan. 17.

Korth, a junior from Bury St. Edmunds, U.K., won the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.38) and 100 backstroke (52.90) in Friday's dual meet against Georgetown, which was won by the Hoyas.
 
A versatile performer, Korth has posted top-16 marks all-time at AU this season in the 100 butterfly  and the 500 freestyle, and previously ranks on those lists in both backstroke events.
 
Korth is the first member of the men's swimming and diving team to win the GEICO award this season.
