WASHINGTON – With her performance in a pair of Patriot League contests, women's basketball junior forward Lauren Crisler has been selected as the GEICO AU Student-Athlete of the Week.

A native of North Wales, Pa., Crisler registered 18 points and nine rebounds to lead American to a 59-55 victory over Lehigh on Saturday. She shot 50 percent from the field (8-of-16) to finish two points shy of her career-high scoring mark, while matching her personal-best rebound total.

Earlier in the week, Crisler tallied nine points and a team-high seven rebounds against league-leading Bucknell.

For the week, Crisler averaged a team-best 13.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.

American is back on the road this Wednesday, Jan. 13, when it visits Boston University in a 7 p.m. contest.
