WASHINGTON — The American University women's soccer team will host Boston University on Saturday afternoon to kick off its Patriot League home schedule.  

The Eagles fell to Colgate, 3-1, last Saturday in their PL opener while the Terriers shut out Bucknell, 4-0. 

Against the Raiders, Marley Jennings cut AU's deficit to 2-1 with her tally in the 53rd minute, but Sarah Coy scored a hat trick to led the way for Colgate. American keeper Courtney Bembenek made one save and is now 1-2-0 on the season. 

Boston had a different fate to begin league play.  Erica Kosienski scored two goals 2-1/2 minutes apart to help defeat Bucknell, 4-0. Kosienski is tied with McKenna Doyle with two goals this season.  

The Terriers have scored 11 goals in nine games while facing tough competition through their non-league schedule.  Boston started out 0-4-2 before rattling off three straight wins over Hofstra (2-1 OT), Providence (2-1) and Bucknell. 

In goal for the Terriers, Alyssa Parisi is 3-3-2 and has started in all nine contests. She posts a 1.14 goals against average and a .778 save percentage. 

AU will complete the month of September at Loyola Maryland on the 30th.
