WASHINGTON - The No. 19 American University men's soccer team continues to roll, winning their fourth-straight game Sunday afternoon at Reeves Field. The Eagles blanked the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 3-0, for their third shutout of the season.

The sophomore forward duo of Dale Ludwig and Joe Iraola did all the damage for AU. Ludwig tallied the game-winner, heading one in off the corner kick from junior Liam Robley for his third goal of the season in the 32nd minute.

Not to be outdone, Iraola went on to score twice in the second half with both goals coming from deep outside the box. His first came eight minutes out of the break, corralling a turnover caused by senior Mark Plaisance and hit the perfect strike from 35 yards out.

Iraola nearly equaled his highlight reel goal only seven minutes later when classmate Jake Garcia threw in to his feet. Iraola immediately turned up field and fired a laser of a shot towards goal for his second score of the match.

American held the edge in shots for each 45-minute period, outshooting Milwaukee 13-7 in the second half for a 21-12 total edge. Eight of the Eagles attempts were also on goal.

The Eagles offense has totaled 11 goals this year, being shut out only once with two-or-more goals in four games.

The AU defense was superb yet again, and has now only allowed three goals in six games this season. The back line of Conor Osborne, Christian Robbs, Jake Weinreb and Jordan Manley limited Milwaukee to only five shots on goal.

All five of those shots were stopped by junior goalkeeper Dylan Hobert who improved to 5-1-0 this year and improves his save percentage to .842 and his goals against average to 0.49.

American returns to the pitch this Thursday when it heads to Philadelphia for a matchup with Ivy League opponent Penn at 7 p.m.
