Sophomore guard Jen Dumiak was named the Anaconda
Patriot League Player of the Week, conference officials announced
Monday. She was also recognized as the AU Student-Athlete of the
Week Presented by GEICO, Department of Athletics officials
announced.
Dumiak posted 20 points for the second consecutive game to open
the year in a 70-60 loss at Oakland last Monday. The Carlsbad,
Calif. native shot 46.2 percent from the field, notching two
three-pointers and going a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul line. She
also led the team with six boards and three steals, adding one
assist.
This is the first Player of the Week honor of Dumiak's
career. She was honored as the Rookie of the Week twice last
season.
Dumiak and the Eagles return to action on Wednesday, November 21
when they face crosstown rival No. 5 Maryland at 4 p.m.
