The American University volleyball team remained undefeated in Patriot League play Friday with a 3-0 win over Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa. The victory came by set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-23.

Angelina Waterman led the American (26-2, 3-0) attack which finished the night with a .354 combined hitting percentage. Waterman scored 16 kills on 26 attempts with one error for a .577 percentage. The senior also added seven digs. Cassandra Ricketts picked up 13 kills with a .455 hitting percentage, five digs and three block assists. Magdalena Tekiel, meanwhile, notched her ninth double-double of the year with 10 kills and 10 digs.

The Eagles limited Lehigh (12-13, 6-7) to a .250 hitting percentage and combined for seven blocks. Katerina Cinkova recorded a match-high five total blocks. Krysta Cicala and Alexandra Hammer each dished out 21 assists.

The win improves American to 26-2 on the year and 13-0 in the Patriot League. The Eagles' 26 wins are the third most in program history, behind two 30-wins seasons in 1991 and 1997 and a 34-win season in 1994. American's 26-2 record to begin the year matches a program record set in 2001, when the team began 26-2 en route to a 26-4 overall record and American's first Patriot League Championship.

American's victory also moves its current winning streak to 20 matches, the program's longest winning streak since taking 21 straight in 2001.

American will close out the regular season on Saturday, November 13 against Lafayette in Easton, Pa. at 4:00 p.m. A win would give the Eagles a perfect 14-0 record in regular season conference play for the sixth time since joining the Patriot League in 2001.
