Kevin McKeown left American University in April, 2025.

Kevin McKeown joined the American University athletics staff as the assistant equipment manager in August, 2018, and was promoted to Director of Equipment Operations in July, 2021. In his role, he helps handle all incoming inventory, communicates with coaches and student-athletes for their equipment needs, and supervises a student staff of 10 among other responsibilities.

McKeown came to AU from the American Athletic Conference office in Providence, R.I., where he served as a marketing & branding intern from 2017-18.

As an undergraduate at Johnson & Wales University, McKeown worked in the equipment room and volunteered at a number of NCAA Tournaments and football championships. He earned his bachelor's degree in sports, entertainment, and event management from Johnson & Wales in May, 2018.
