Jerry Zouantcha joined the American University men's soccer staff in July of 2025. A former player for the Eagles and D.C. native, Zouantcha is returned to his alma mater after founding his own DMV-based soccer academy in 2023.
Shortly after graduating from AU, Zouantcha founded Ballerz Football Academy, a soccer and performance training academy in the DMV geared toward all levels. The academy offers high-level training alongside elite-level clinics and camps that help players prepare for higher levels of competition. While studying health promotion at American, he also helped to found VOICI, a streetwear brand that aimed to educate people about the cultural history of the DMV.
Zouantcha played for the Eagles from 2017 to 2022, earning Second Team All-Patriot League honors in 2018. He scored eight goals for American, including scoring the game-tying and game-winning goals against Navy to help the Eagles secure a top-three seed in the 2021 Patriot League Tournament. His younger brother, Dilane, also played for American, graduating from Kogod in May 2025.
