Jack Morel left American University Athletics in October, 2024.

Jack Morel joined the American University Athletics staff as an Associate Director for Athletics Communications in December 2023. In his role, Morel serves as the primary communications contact for men’s basketball, men's soccer and women's soccer.  

Morel came to AU after two and a half years with the PGA Tour, most recently serving as a digital and social video content associate. He was responsible for producing and delivering media content across all PGA Tour digital and social platforms, and he managed a team of video editors to guide projects from concept to completion. He also managed the Tour's YouTube channel, overseeing its growth to over one million subscribers.

Finishing college at the height of the pandemic, Morel worked remotely for Sports Illustrated as a reporter/writer and for Wabash College Athletics as a social media manager.

A 2020 graduate of the University of Michigan, Morel earned a bachelor's degree in political science while playing on the club golf team. He began working as the director of sports programming and marketing for WOLV-TV at UM during his time as an undergrad, and continued that work after graduation.
