Aidan Delehanty, a 2025 graduate of American University's School of Communication, joined the Facilities & Operations staff as an Athletics Operations Manger in May, 2025. Delehanty was a four-year swimmer for the Eagles, a team captain as a senior, and is a school record-holder in two events.

Throughout his career at American, Delehanty worked as a student assistant in a number of departments within Athletics, including Facilities & Operations, Athletics Communications, Athletics Equipment, and Recreation as a lifeguard. He holds school relay records in the 200 free and 200 medley relays, and inspired others by coming back after severe illness from an autoimmune deficiency diagnosed at the end of his freshman season.

Delehanty is a native of Rochester, N.Y., and is a four-year Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recipient who earned a bachelor's in journalism and political science.
