Jarrod Elwell enters his second year as a member of Mark Cody’s coaching staff.

Prior to his time at American, Elwell was heavily involved with youth wrestling in the Maryland and Virginia area. He served as head coach and commissioner of the Outlaws Wrestling Club and as commissioner of the Capital Area Wrestling League. Elwell is also co-founder of the Maryland summer wrestling league.

Elwell wrestled at Binghamton University during his collegiate career, and was a high school All-American and multi-state champion for Mount Anthony Union High School in Bennington, Vermont.

He was also the chief executive of the nonprofit Hogares in Washington, D.C. from 2001-2009, where he focused on organizational development and capacity building.

Elwell received his Bachelor of Arts from Binghamton and a Master of Science from the University of Maryland.
