Stephanie Varin

Stephanie Varin joined the American University Athletics staff as an assistant strength & conditioning coach in January, 2026. In her role, she works primarily with the women's soccer, women's lacrosse, and wrestling teams, while also serving as an adjunct professor in the Department of Health Studies.

Varin spent six months with Indiana University prior to arriving at American, working as a part-time strength & conditioning coach with the cheer, cross country, and middle-distance track athletes. She completed a year-long strength & conditioning internship at the University of Wisconsin, and was a certified personal trainer at Balance Gym in D.C. from 2023-24.

Varin is a 2023 graduate of Georgetown University with a degree in foreign service, international politics, and is working toward a master's degree in applied physiology and kinesiology from the University of Florida. She is a certified Level 1 Weightlifting Coach through USA Weightlifting, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
