David "Ted" Edwards worked for the nationally acclaimed U.K. Elite Soccer in New Jersey where he became Director of Goalkeeping and launched their GK School. He became the head coach of the Men’s program at Ferrum College in Virginia, in 2002, before relocating to northern Va. in 2004.

He is the Director of Goalkeeping for FC VA in the ECNL and head coach for the FCV United 97’ West team. He is the former Director of Coaching (Travel) for Loudoun Soccer and is also on the coaching education staff for the NSCAA.  

Edwards holds the NSCAA Premier Diploma, NSCAA National GK Diploma and an English F.A. Preliminary Coaching License (‘B’ License). He played at the professional and semi-professional levels, as well as collegiately as a starting midfielder (two years) and starting Goalkeeper (two years). He also played for the Great Britain Students Team, competing in an invitational tour in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as well as the World Student Games in Sicily, in 1997.  

He is also the owner/President of STAR Performance, a coaching and training organization in northern Va., and is currently studying for a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marymount University. Edwars also has a H.N.D. in Sports Science and Sports Injuries from Staffordshire University in England. 

Edwards graduated from Staffordshire University, England, in 1998 with a degree in Sports Science.
