Declan Coll

Declan Coll joined the American University women's soccer staff as an assistant coach for Anabel Hering in June, 2015.

Prior to arriving at American, Coll served on staffs at Lynchburg, Roanoke and West Virginia.

Coll spent two seasons on the Lynchburg College men's soccer staff after assisting Roanoke College in 2012. His teams twice won Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament titles, claiming the championship in 2012 with Roanoke and 2014 at Lynchburg.

Prior to his time at the D3 level, Coll served as a volunteer assistant coach for the West Virginia men's soccer team, where he helped plan and execute training sessions for the then-nationally ranked Mountaineers. In addition to coordinating practices, Coll held roles in film review and individual training for those coming off long-term injury. 

Coll was a member of the Irish League Premier Division Institute FC in 2007-08 after playing for the Northern Ireland Schoolboys National Team in 2006. He received a full athletic scholarship to West Virginia University in 2008.

A native of Derry, Ireland, Coll received his Bachelors of Arts in philosophy with a concentration in pre-law from West Virginia in 2012, as well as receiving credit for a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Coaching from the University of Delaware. He also earned a master's degree from Lynchburg College in 2015.
