David Sheridan

David Sheridan begins his second season as the program’s volunteer assistant coach. Sheridan will work primarily with the goalkeepers.

Sheridan played two years of collegiate soccer at Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass., where he served as a team captain. In 1998, his squad was ranked No. 2 in the nation in NJCAA Division I during the season. Mount Ida moved to NCAA Division III for his senior season, and the Mustangs captured the North Atlantic Conference Championship with an undefeated record.

Prior to his stent at Mont Ida, Sheridan played professionally for three European teams from 1993-96 (Cobh Ramblers AFC of the Irish Premiere Division, St. Mirrens of the Scottish First Division, and Barry Town AFC of the Welsh Premiere Division). He also competed for the San Antonio Pumas of the USISL Division 3 in 1996.

Sheridan has also enjoyed a long coaching career coaching goalkeepers, beginning with the Hammers FC Youth Team in Texas in the late 1990s. From 1999-2003, he coached in Massachusetts, including with West Newton High School (Mass.) Girls Team and at several camps. He currently serves as the Washington and Lee High School (Va.) Assistant Coach.
