Jo Torres, a standout goalkeeper who came to American after undergraduate playing stints at both Navy and Towson, joined head coach Lindsay Teeters' coaching staff in the fall of 2024.

In her first season with the Eagles, Torres helped guide Caleigh Forti to the best season of her career. Forti finished the season at the top of the Patriot League and ranked third in the NCAA in saves with 177. She ranked 20th in the NCAA in save percentage (.466) and made 15 or more saves five times in the 2025 season. She was a three-time Patriot League Honorable Mention Goalie of the Week.

Torres played two seasons at Navy before traveling to Towson to become a Tiger for her final two years of eligibility. While with the Mids in Annapolis, she amassed quite a few accolades. As a freshman she played in nine games and was a two time Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week and named Rookie of the Week once. As a sophomore she started and played in every game and received three more Goalkeeper of the Week honorifics. She amassed 155 saves with a 47.4 save percentage and a 9.12 goals against average. In 2022, Torres tied the Mid’s season record for most saves in a single season and ranked eighth in the NCAA in goals against average. She also finished the year 17th in the NCAA in save percentage.

More recently, with Towson, she started in all but one game across two seasons and as a junior (‘23) earned CAA All-Second Team honors. As a senior (‘24), Torres finished the season ranked third in the CAA in total saves (143) and ranked fourth in the conference in save percentage (.466). She rounded out her collegiate career by being named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association’s (IWLCA) Senior All-Star Team and to the spring 2024 CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

Torres is a local Maryland native and received her bachelor's degree from Towson in 2024.
