Opened her season running a 4k PR of 15:09.1 to place 60th at the Richmond Spider Alumni Open (8/30)… Ran a PR in the 6k at the Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational (9/12), finishing in 23:15.1 to place 73rd… Lowered her PR to 23:09.4 at the Paul Short Run (10/3), placing 147th in the Brown Race… Placed 172nd at the ECAC Championships (10/17) with a 6k time of 24:17.3… Placed 100th at the Patriot League Championships (10/31), running 24:05.0.

Indoor Track – Placed 25th in the 1,000 meters at the Nittany Lion Challenge (1/17) in 3:04.35… Placed fifth in the 800 (2:19.24) and contributed to the first-place DMR in 12:15.47 at the George Mason Patriot Games (1/31)… Doubled in the 800 and 1k at the Valentine Invitational (2/14), placing 121st in the 800 in 2:20.02 and 46th in the 1k in 3:08.95… Placed second in the 600 at the Father Diamond Invitational (2/20) with a PR of 1:39.49… Ran an 800 PR of 2:16.37 at the Patriot League Championships (2/28), and contributed to AU’s 4x800 relay (9:32.98) and DMR (12:13.21).

Outdoor Track – Opened her season running 4:52.62 in the 1500 and 2:27.50 in the 800 at the Richmond Fred Hardy Invitational (3/20)… Ran a 1500 PR of 4:44.38 and placed 28th in the 800 in 2:17.46 at the George Mason Dalton Ebanks Invitational (4/3-4)… Placed 20th in the 400 in 1:02.86 at the Gallaudet Bison Classic (4/11)… Ran 4:45.69 for 1500 at the Virginia Challenge (4/17)… Contributed to the 4x800 relay in 9:22.24 at the Penn Relays (4/25)… Ran a PR of 4:39.95 in the 1500 at the Kehoe Twilight Meet (5/1)… Placed 28th in the 1500 in 4:56.09 at the Patriot League Championships (5/15).

Cross Country — Opened her season with a 15:55.8 4k at the Spider Alumni Open (8/31), placing 84th… Ran a personal best of 19:28.5 5k at the Lafayette Invitational (9/6) to place 35th… Went up to the 6k for the remainder of the season, running her first ever 6k in 25:16 at the Roy Griak Invitational (9/20) to place 172nd… Placed 129th at the ECU Pirate Invitational (10/4) in a personal best of 24:05.3… Improved upon her personal best at the ECAC Championships (10/18), running 23:42.0 to place 137th… PRed again at the Patriot League Championships (11/2), running 23:16.7 to place 77th… Completed her first collegiate season at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional (11/15), where she ran 24:16.3 to place 203rd... Indoor Track — Opened her season in a 1000 meter PR at the NYC Gotham Cup (1/17), running 3:03.68, and ran a leg in the second place 4x800 relay… Ran a PR of 2:19.74 in the 800 at the Patriot Games (2/1)… Ran the mile and 800 at the Liberty Open (2/8), running 5:15.23 and 2:20.43… Improved upon her 800 PR with a time of 2:19.21 at the Father Diamond Invitational (2/21)… Placed 20th in the mile in 5:14.43 and contributed to tthe 8th place DMR at the Patriot League Championships (3/1).

Outdoor Track — Opened her season with a 1500 PR of 4:53.32 at the Richmond Fred Hardy Invitational (3/21)… Ran 2:18.36 for 800 and contributed to a 4x400 relay at the George Mason Dalton Ebanks Invitational (4/5)… Lowered her 1500 PR to 4:46.77 and ran 2:18.23 in the 800 at the Virginia Challenge (4/18-19)… Placed 22nd in the 1500 in 4:46.96 and contributed to the ninth place 4x400 relay at the Patriot League Championships (5/2-3)… Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

High School: Competed for Wayne Hills HS running middle distance and cross country … PR’s – 2:16 (800m), 5:00 (1600m) … Was first team all-league all four years and earned first team all-county as a freshman, junior, and senior … Earned first team North Jersey as a junior.
 
Personal: Mother, Jennifer Metz, ran track at the University of Wisconsin (1992-96) and was the Big 10 Champion in the 600m as well as a 2x All-American … Is studying Psychology at AU.
 
Why I Chose American: “I loved my visit and I have always loved DC. I felt so welcomed by the team and coaches.”
