Molly Foster joined the American Cross Country and Track teams as a volunteer assistant coach in September 2021 and made the transition to an assistant coach in August 2022.

Foster, a native of Sebastopol, California, ran cross country and track for Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. She competed at the 2018 West Coast Conference Cross Country Championships, and at competitive track meets up and down the West Coast in events ranging from the 400m hurdles, to the 1500m, to the Steeplechase. She was a Cross Country representative for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), helping to organize and participate in community events throughout the year. While at Gonzaga, Foster majored in History and English, with minors in Spanish, Classics, and Dance, making the Dean's or President's Lists every semester. Â

Foster is a second-year graduate student in the Public History Master's program at American University. In addition to coaching, she works for the Jewish Studies Program at American and for Moment Magazine.Â
