2025-26 (Freshman) – Earned a second-place finish as part of the duo that swam the 1000 free relay at the 2025 Potomac Relays.  

High School: All-League selection… All-County Selection… National team participant… Team league champions… All-Conference and All-League selection in basketball… Ranked second in Long Island for three-pointers made.

Personal: Son of Ray Sommerstad (Cornell basketball) and Kristin Sommerstad (Stony Brook volleyball)… Enjoys Fortnite and hanging out with friends… Chose AU for the community and opportunities available in Washington, D.C.… Is majoring in finance in the Kogod School of Business.
