2012-13: Competed in three events at the Patriot League Championships … finished 17th overall in the 1650 free with a time of 16:25.01 … added an 18th place finish in the 200 breast, 2:08.12 and was 21st in the 400 IM, 4:1474.
2011-12: Came in 10th place in the 1650 free (16:18.29) at the Patriot League Championships … earned a 19th-place result in the 200 breast (2:09.78) and a 30th-place effort in the 200 IM (1:58.46) … registered a fourth-place finish in the 1650 free (18:01.82) at the Navy Invitational.
High School: Swam for Punahou School … earned four varsity letters in swimming and two in cross country … state champion in men’s 17-18 1650 and 200 IM … member of Hawaii state championship swim team in 2008 and 2010 … best times included a 16:18.7 in the 1650 free, 2:10.2 in the 200 breast and 9:48.85 in the 1000 free ... received freshman student athlete award, which was given to three freshmen in the school, as well as a senior scholar-athlete plaque.
Personal: Son of Valisa and Ward Saunders … plans on majoring in international relations.
