2024-25 (Freshman) - Was a B-finalist in the 200 backstroke at the George Mason Invitational, taking 14th… At the same meet, won the C-final of the 100 back, placing 17th… During the dual meet season took home four second-place finishes in three different events… Two second-place finishes in the 100 back and 200 IM against Catholic… Second-place finishes in the 200 back against Georgetown and Howard… Personal-best times included 51.15 (100 back), 1:53.60 (200 back) and 1:56.86 (200 IM)... Dean’s List member in the Fall 2024 semester.
Before AU – Competed with Utica Shelby Swim Club (coach Erica Thomas)... Career best times include 51.79 in 100 backstroke, 51.32 in 100 fly, 1:55.32 in 200 backstroke, and 1:55.22 in 200 fly… Selected as a four-time all-state and all-league honoree… Helped his team win the 2022 county and league championships.
Personal – Parents are Kristen and Jason Pursley… Majoring in finance.
