Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2022-23 (Junior) - Set the 16th-fastest personal best 500 free in program history with a team-best 4:36.03 from the PL Championships… Swam the program’s 13th-fastest 1,650 free ever with a 16.12.20 at the PL Championships… Anchored the 16th-fastest 800 free relay in program history with a team time of 6:54.06 at the PL Championships… Recorded a season-best 1:43.81 at the PL Championships… Took first at the George Mason Invitational in the 500 free with a time of 4:47.69... Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. 

2021-22 (Sophomore) - Was the third-fastest on the team in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:43.71 from the Patriot League Championships… Recorded a personal best in the 100 backstroke at the Patriot Invitational with a time of 54.41, making him the third-fastest on the team in that event as well… Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. 

2020-21 (Freshman) - Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll... Posted the team's second-fastest time of the season in the 100 back (54.91) in the prelims at the Patriot League Challenge... Took sixth at the PL Challenge in the 500 free after a prelims time of 4:41.99 that was his best of the season and third-best on the team.

Before AU - Swam for University Aquatic Club… Came in sixth at the 4A state championship for the 200 free (1:42.57)... Named All-American for the 400 free relay at the 4A state championship… Recorded the third-fastest time for 400 free in 4A state history.

Personal - Son of David and Kathryn Melin… Played varsity water polo for four years… Four-time water polo state champion…. Named state MVP for water polo in 2019… Member of BSA… Named an Eagle Scout… Majoring in international studies.
