Wyatt Kohl joined the American University Athletics staff as an assistant athletic trainer in June, 2023, after two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at East Tennessee State University. Kohl will work primarily with the wrestling and men's cross country & track teams at American.

While at ETSU, Kohl provided athletic training services for the men’s soccer team. He graduated from the University of Mount Union with a bachelor's degree in athletic training in 2021, and got his master's in sport management from ETSU in 2023.

While at Mount Union, Kohl worked with 22 varsity sports. He also had the opportunity to work at Alliance High School. Kohl completed an internship with the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2020 preseason. He is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
