Cross Country – Started her first collegiate season at the ECU Pirate Invitational (10/4), running her first ever 6k in 26:12.3 to place 194th… Ran a personal best of 24:53.0 at the ECAC Championships (10/18) to place 204th… Closed out the season with a 110th place finish at the Patriot League Championships (11/2), running 25:31.8... Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Indoor Track – Opened her season in a 5k PR of 19:47.38 at the NYC Gotham Cup (1/17)… Ran 11:30.39 in the 3k at the Patriot Games (2/1)… ran a season best of 11:14.40 in the 3k at the Father Diamond Invitational (2/21).

Outdoor Track — Ran a 5k PR of 19:47.16 at the Richmond Fred Hardy Invitational (3/21)… Ran 5:33.05 for 1500 at the George Mason Dalton Ebanks Invitational (4/5)… Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

High School: Ran cross country and track for Buffalo Seminary … PR’s – 18:00 (XC 3 mile), 19:29 (XC 5K), 5:05 (1500m), 5:17 (1600m), 10:26 (3000m), 18:44 (5000m) … Was honored to the First-Team All-Catholic XC her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons … The Monsignor Martin League Cross Country Champion both junior and senior year … The Monsignor Martin League Track Champion in the 1500m and 3000m as a junior … An All-Western New York Scholar Athlete as a senior, Second Team All-Western New York as a senior, All-Western New York Honorable Mention as a junior … Was the NYSCHSAA 3000m runner up as a junior … Holds the 5k, 3 mile, 2 mile, 1500, 3000, and 1600 records for Buffalo Seminary, the 1500m, 3000m, and DMR records for Nardin Academy, and the 3000m and DMR records for Cardinal O’Hara.
 
Personal: Daughter of Rebecca Elias and Joe Murphy … A member of the National Honor Society, National Hispanic Recognition Program, and High Honor Roll … Received the AP Scholar Award … Enjoys skiing, sailing, swimming, and hiking … Bakes all the time and loves drawing, painting, or really any art forms … Is listening to music or podcasts all the time and loves reading … Works part-time at Hollister and has worked in horticulture …  Raised money for blood cancer research through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society … Is studying Business Administration at AU.
 
Why I Chose American: “American University had everything I was looking for in a college. I think that the campus is incredible, and the school culture is something I wanted to be a part of. There’s also really no better place for me to explore international business than DC. I also think that the team environment is one that will help me to succeed in both athletics and academics.”
