The American University wrestling team sent five wrestlers to the 2012 NCAA Championships and placed 19th as a team. The Eagles earned two All-Americans, marking the fifth straight season that the Eagles have earned multiple All-Americans. Two weeks before, AU finished a program-record third-place result at the EIWA Championships, crowning two champions.

197 lbs. - Daniel Mitchell - Recorded his third-consecutive NCAA appearance
HWT - No. 1 Ryan Flores - Made his fourth-career NCAA berth, registering his second-straight All-America honor

EIWA Championships Review

American finished in third place at the 108th EIWA Championships, setting a new program record for the best-ever team result. Ryan Flores and Matt Mariacher each claimed their second straight individual championships.
