The Marilyn Meltzer Wrestling Room was first dedicated in 1998 when the Jacobs Fitness Center opened in Bender Arena. The room was newly rebuilt and newly dedicated as the Meltzer-Danielson Wrestling Room when the Alan and Amy Meltzer Center for Athletic Performance opened in 2026. Named after the mother of former AU wrestler Alan Meltzer and his fellow wrestling alum Loren Danielson, the beautiful new space is home to the American wrestling team and houses three mats as well as cardio equipment. The team has a dedicated locker room space and fueling station adjacent to the practice room, and competes in a brand-new gym.
