American University track senior student-athlete
Julia Sullivan has been recognized as the AU
Student-Athlete of the Week Presented by GEICO, Department of
Athletics officials announced.
Sullivan was one of three Eagles to win an event and the
lone competitor from the women’s squad to bring home a title
at the Terrapin Invitational in College Park, Md. this weekend. The
Northampton, Mass. native won the 3,000 meter race with a
personal-best mark of 10:04.21 to open the indoor
season.
American will return to action in two weeks when they will
compete at the George Mason Patriot Games on Saturday, Feb. 1 in
Fairfax, Va.
