Schoenberger from the American University lacrosse
team has been named the American University Student-Athlete of the
Week presented by GEICO, Department of Athletics officials
announced Monday.
Schoenberger led the Eagles with a team-best three goals in a
key Patriot League victory at Lafayette on Saturday. Schoenberger
scored all three of her goals in the first half, helping American
build an early advantage on Lafayette.
Earlier in the week, the junior registered a goal and two
assists in AU's contest at George Mason. For the season, she has
recorded 12 goals and 11 assists.
The Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday, April 13 when
they host Navy in the Patriot League finale. Game time from Jacobs
Field is scheduled for 4 p.m.
