American University lacrosse senior Lauren Schoenberger was named the AU
Student-Athlete of the Week Presented by GEICO, Department of
Athletics officials announced Monday.
The Penfield, N.Y. native recorded a team-high two goals on
Friday night in a Patriot League Tournament Semifinal loss to
eventual champion Navy, 14-7. She also tallied one assist to post a
team-high three points and was named to the 2012 Patriot League
All-Tournament Team.
Schoenberger finished the season with a career-high 30 goals and
20 assists, and her 53 career assists place her third all-time at
American. The senior was also named to the Academic All-Patriot
League Team last week for the second straight year.
