Junior Kimberly Collins has been selected as the AU
Student-Athlete of the Week presented by GEICO, Department of
Athletics officials announced Monday.
The Princeton Junction, N.J. native tallied a pair of goals in
each of American’s games at UMBC and No. 12 Ohio State last
week. She also collected three ground balls on the week with one
draw control and one caused turnover at UMBC.
Collins is currently ranked fourth in the Patriot League with
3.50 points per game and is also eighth in the conference with 2.44
goals per game and 1.06 assists per game. The junior has recorded a
goal and tallied at least two points in every game this season for
the Eagles.
The Eagles will next head to the Patriot League Tournament as
the number four seed and will take on the top-seeded Navy
Midshipmen on Friday, April 27 at 5 p.m.
