Dobbs has been selected as the American University
Student Athlete of the Week presented by GEICO, Department of
Athletics officials announced Monday.
Dobbs led the Eagles to a 64-60 victory over local rival George
Washington this past week, recording career-highs with 16 points,
eight rebounds and three steals. She was 5-of-11 from the floor and
a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe.
The freshman guard from Berea, Ohio, has now registered 10
points or more in three of her past five games and has averaged 6.3
rpg so far in December. American is riding a four-game winning
streak and sits at 6-4 this season.
Dobbs and the Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday,
December 22 against Troy. Tip time from Bender Arena is slated for
7 p.m.
