Makowski from the American University men's soccer
team has been selected as the AU Student-Athlete of the Week
presented by GEICO, Department of Athletics officials announced
Monday. Makowski earned his fourth shutout of the season in
Saturday's scoreless draw against Holy Cross.
The junior tallied five saves against the Crusaders as AU
clinched a berth into the Patriot League Tournament. He has
not allowed a goal in his last 125:28 of action, and as a team, the
Eagles are riding a 235:28 scoreless streak.
The Eagles will close out the regular season next Saturday,
November 6 at Colgate before beginning play in the PL
Tournament.
