Before AU: Named Marion County Swimmer of the Year and holds the county record in the 100 free (54.83)... Named first team all-county in 2019 and 2020... Took fourth and sixth at the Florida High School state championships in the 100 butterfly in 2019 and 2020, respectively... Named Vanguard High School Athlete of the Year in 2020... Qualified for the YMCA Short Course Nationals 2019 and 2020... Student-Athlete of the Year Award 2019 (YMCA Competitive Swim Team)... Competed for the TekMasters Swim Club.
Personal: Plans to major in biochemistry... Was Class Valedictorian, part of the International Baccalaureate Program, the Science National Honor Society and the National Honors Society... Won an AP Scholar Award and was named Student of the Year in Psychology... Led “Masks for COVID” Service Project... Hand-sewed 1200 masks for essential workers across the country... Led Key Club food drive which collected 17,000 pounds of food over two years through corporate partnership with local hospital... Research includes a chemistry project about Floridan Aquifer presented to Florida State Senators, and making national Scottish news in an international chemistry collaboration with peers in Scotland.
