WASHINGTON - The American University lacrosse team fell behind Loyola Maryland early on and couldn't find a way back into the game, losing 16-5 on Wednesday afternoon at the Jacobs Complex. 

Notable

• Reagan Murdoch scored two goals for AU, while Adria Kotzian, Anastasia Byrnes, and Rachel Kolton added a tally each. 
• Murdoch now leads the team in goals with 26, with 111 in her career. 
• Kotzian added an assist to her goal for her 17^th point of the season, putting her third on the team. 
• Freshman Norah Kelaher logged her first career point with an assist on Kotzian's goal, and Mia Zganjar picked up her second assist of the season. 
• Brooke Hill made seven saves in net for AU, and Maryanne Harris made one in relief. 

How it Happened

• The Greyhounds controlled the first half, scoring 11 goals and shutting out AU. 
• The Eagles matched Loyola's five second half goals with five of their own. 
• Murdoch got the scoring started, finishing off a quality feed from Adria Kotzian. 
• Byrnes found the back of the net on a free position chance, and then Kelaher found Kotzian in the middle of the eight-meter for AU's third goal. 
• Kolton netted her second goal of the year on a free position try, then Murdoch added her second of the day.

• The Eagles will hit the road on Saturday, March 28 to face BU. First draw is set for noon.
