HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Spratt was red hot out of the gate for AU, starting the scoring parade with a three goals in the first 3:57 for the early hat trick. Her third goal gave the Eagles a 3-1 lead just after the Patriots scored their first goal of the game.

  • Frank and Spratt did the scoring for AU in the second quarter, both finding the back of the net twice while the Eagles held the Patriots to just two goals in the quarter. Frank's second goal came in dramatic fashion, scooping up her own rebound and firing a shot past Regan Bestic just before the first half clock hit zero to give AU and 11-3 lead at halftime.
  • Murdoch added her second and third goal of the game in the third quarter, while Barber netted her first collegiate goal and Linehan added one more to her day. The Eagles allowed four goals in the third, the most they allowed in any quarter all game.
