Women’s Soccer Set to Host Holy Cross Sunday, Game Moved to Montgomery Community College Due to Tropical Storm

WASHINGTON – Coming off a loss to Bucknell, American University women's soccer is looking to get back into the win column on Sunday as the Eagles welcome the Holy Cross Crusaders for a Patriot League matchup. Sunday's game, originally scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at Reeves Field, has been moved to a 12 p.m. start at Montgomery Community College due to the tropical storm that is coming through the area this weekend.

  • Senior Cerys Balmer leads the Crusaders in goals with four. Senior Sydney Baldwin, junior Allie Waters, and senior Ellie Zern each have a team-leading two assists this season.
  • The Crusaders are led by Head Coach Ben Graham in his second season at the head of the program. He is joined on the sidelines by assistant coaches Chris Wasilewski, Ricky Newton, and Cat Klein.  
  • The Crusaders were picked to finish 10th in the league in the preseason poll.
