WASHINGTON – American University women's soccer has its eyes on a win Wednesday, as Loyola Maryland comes to Reeves for the regular season finale. Both teams are coming off weekend losses and are looking to get back in the win column. The Greyhounds have already clinched a spot in the postseason tournament, while the Eagles currently sit sixth in the league standings and are trying to secure the final postseason spot.

• Junior Brooke Steel, sophomore Alyssa Giroux, and freshman Lailah Stewart are all tied for the team lead in goals, each with three this season. Sophomore Avery Klingensmith and sophomore Phoebe Merrigan each have a team-high two assists.  
• Junior goalkeeper Julia Kato sits fourth in the Patriot League for shutouts with five through 15 matches. She now has 11 career shutouts putting her in 10th all-time in American's record book.
• Heading into the final game of the regular season, American sits sixth in the league standings. 
• American is led by Head Coach Marsha Harper in her fourth season at the head of the program. She is joined on the sidelines by assistant coaches Katie Greenberg and Matt Freibaum.

• Loyola Maryland enters the midweek game coming off a 1-0 loss against Lehigh.
• Junior Baylee DeSmit leads the Greyhounds and the Patriot League in shots (60), goals (9), assists (7), and points (15).
• Graduate student goalkeeper Paige Sims leads the league in goals against average (.843) and shutouts per game (8).
• The Greyhounds have already clinched a place in the Patriot League Tournament which is set to start Oct. 29.
• The Greyhounds are led by Head Coach Joe Mallia. He is joined on the sidelines by assistant coaches Kevin Dempsey, Bristol Pizzuto, and Andrew Vincent.
