WASHINGTON — The American University women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 deficit to Mount St. Mary's on Sunday afternoon at Reeves Field. 

Postgame Notes

• Jasmine McCree scored the first goal of the season for The Mount in the 7th minute after an American turnover in the defensive zone.
• American had a chance to tie the contest in the 68th minute after a penalty kick was awarded to Reagan Gould but Mount keeper Maggie Barron made a diving stop. 
• Gould had another chance a minute later, but Barron once again came up strong. 
• Barron finished the contest with 12 saves. 
• Morgan Lang finished with four saves for American. She is one save away from her 100th career save.
