WASHINGTON — The American University women's soccer team is looking for a trio of Patriot League points in the standings on Sunday as the Eagles host Holy Cross at 2 p.m. 

Game Notes

• American is coming off a 3-1 deficit to Loyola Maryland on Wednesday. 
• Sophomore Emily Smith has scored in back-to-back games with her second goal of the season against the Greyhounds. 
• Smith is the second Eagle this season to score in consecutive games. Freshman Fisayo Iluyomade found the back of the net in games against USC Upstate and George Washington. 
• Smith joins freshman Alysa Vazquez tied for second in team goals with two.
• Smith (5) trails Iluyomade (8) by three points for the team lead. 
• Iluyomade has not recorded a point since scoring her fourth goal of the season against VMI on August 31. She has gone pointless in the last seven games. 
• Freshman Dori Rizzo collected her first collegiate point against Loyola Maryland with an assist on Smith's goal. 
• American has used three goalkeepers this season with the trio all playing in four games, respectively.
• Morgan Lang has kept her goals against average under 1.00 in 360 minutes of player. Sitting a 0.75 GAA, Lang would third in PL leaders, but does not hit the minimum amount of time played for league leaders.

Scouting Holy Cross

• After dropping the first two games of the season out in California, Holy Cross has gone unbeaten in the previous eight games with a 2-0-6 mark. 
• The Crusaders have not allowed more than a single goal against per game since returning from losses to Cal Baptist and San Diego.
• During the eight-game span, the Crusaders secured five clean sheets with keeper Sophia Letteri in goal for all five shutouts.
• Kelly Crowley leads the Crusaders in points with five (1g, 3a) while Olivia Ferrara has the team lead in goals with two.
