@AU_WSoccer Falls in PL Opener at Boston U.

BOSTON — The American University women's soccer team fell to Boston University, 6-0, on Saturday afternoon at Nickerson Field to begin Patriot League play.

American (1-7-0, 0-1-0 PL) allowed five goals in the first half and then one in the second. The Eagles were outshot, 18-3, with the lone shot on goal taken by Toni Williams.

Amy Krotine allowed five goals in the first half before Ryleigh Brown finished the game and made two saves.

Boston was led by Christina Wakefield with two goals. McKenna Doyle, Anna Heilferty, Chloe Sagmoe and Jacki Carty also scored for the Terriers. 

American will remain on the road and meet Bucknell next Saturday at noon.
