@AU_WSoccer Completes Season With 3-0 Loss to Army West Point

WASHINGTON — The American University women's soccer team fell to Army West Point, 3-0, on Saturday to conclude the 2017 season.

American ends the season with an overall record of 2-15 and 1-8 in Patriot League play. Army also ends the season with a 4-11-2 record and a 2-6-1 mark in the PL. 

Army West Point finished the contest with a 7-6 edge in shots and a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Samantha Sullenger led the Black Knights with a goal and an assist. Clare Shea scored in the 17th minute to put Army West Point ahead 1-0. The Black Knights scored twice in the second half with Sullenger capitalizing on a corner kick in the 49th minute. The visitors added a third goal in the 59th minute on a hard shot by Erynn Johns.

Ryleigh Brown finished with two saves while Sydney Cassalia made four for the Black Knights.
