Box Score WASHINGTON — The American University women's soccer team fell to Penn, 4-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Reeves Field. 
American (1-12-1, 0-3-1 PL) faced a tough Quakers squad that came out quick and efficient. Penn scored three goals in the first 6:30 of regulation.
The Quakers outshot the Eagles, 8-6, with five coming in the opening 45 minutes. 
Sasha Stephens had a pair of goals for Penn. Tahirih Nesmith scored 1:36 into play after Stephens served a corner kick that bounced around before getting past Morgan Lang. 
Stephens scored both goals in a span of 3:57. 
Penn added its fourth goal in the 57th minute on a one-timer goal by Emma Loving off a pass by Emily Sands. 
Colleen Vivaldi made three saves in a relief appearance for the Eagles. She replaced Morgan Lang in the 38th minute after Lang allowed three goals. 
American will host Holy Cross on Sunday at 2 p.m.
