CENTER VALLEY, PA.— Senior Kelly Donovan of the American University women's soccer team was named this week's Corvias Patriot League Player of the Week in helping her team clinch the sixth spot in the PL Tournament. She was also selected as the GEICO AU Student-Athlete of the Week.

Donovan scored the only goal of the game in the 27th minute as American got past Lehigh 1-0 on Friday and clinched the final berth in the Patriot League Tournament. The game-winner came off a rebound and marked her fifth goal of the season and third in league play. 

Donovan leads the team with 11 points and 27 shots.  The senior scored three goals in seven games in the month of October. 

American will face Navy on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League Tournament at 6 p.m.
