WASHINGTON – After scoring the game-winning goal in double overtime on Sunday to beat Lafayette, 2-1, Kelly Donovan of the American University women's soccer team has been chosen as the GEICO AU Student-Athlete of the week.

Donovan tallied three shots in the Eagles' victory, with her final strike ending the match with only minutes left in the second period of extra time. 

Donovan, a senior from Fairfax, Virginia, is tied with Marley Jennings for the teams lead in points with seven. 

American is back in action at Army West Point on Saturday Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m.
