Mimi Watts Earns Three Wins in Swimming Dual at Old Dominion

NORFOLK, Va. - Sophomore Mimi Watts continued to shine for the Eagles, winning two individual events and a relay for American in a swimming dual meet at Old Dominion on Sunday afternoon. The Monarchs do not have a diving team.

Notable Results

  • Mallory Meister and Tyler DiMarco took second and third, respectively, in the women's 1000 freestyle, while Seamus Brown placed second in the same event for the men.
  • Caleb Farris placed second in both 100 free (47.68) and the 200 free (1:46.70), and Buckley was second in the 50 free (21.09).
  • Quick and Farris went 2-3 in the 100 fly for the men, and teamed up with Deitch and Buckley for second place in the 200 free relay (1:26.43).
  • Deitch finished second in the 100 breaststroke for the men, and Cresci finished third in that event for the women.
  • In the men's 200 fly, Quick placed second, while Amaya Tomma was third for the women.
  • Sasha Uspenskaya and Aldrich Elvambuena were third in the 200 backstroke for the women's and men's teams, respectively.
  • Will Timme took third in the 200 breaststroke, and Sarah Milbrandt was third in the 100 fly.
  • Marissa Kleckner and Brown were both second-place finishers in the women's and men's 500 freestyle.
  • Kayla Winters was second in the 400 IM in the final individual event of the day.
  • Felton, Kleckner, Meister and Watts placed second in the 200 free relay in 1:38.02.
