BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After recording his third clean sheet of the season against Patriot League preseason favorite Loyola Maryland, American University men's soccer junior goalkeeper Matthew Tibbetts was named Patriot League Men's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for the second week in a row.
 
In American's first win over Loyola Maryland since 2021, Tibbetts kept his third clean sheet of the season, making five saves on 17 shots from Loyola. His save percentage is now over 83 percent for the season.
 
Tibbetts currently leads the Patriot League in its four major goalkeeping statistics: goals against average (1.00), save percentage (.833), shutouts per game (.500) and saves per game (5.00). He leads the League with three shutouts so far this season.
 
He earns his second Patriot League weekly honors in a row and the fourth of his career.
