Sponsored by the Cassell family, American University's Stafford H. Cassell Hall of Fame was established in 1969 to recognize and celebrate the outstanding performances and achievements
of individuals associated with American University Athletics and Recreation.
Outside of jersey retirement, induction into the Cassell Hall of Fame is the highest honor that American University can bestow upon a former student-athlete, coach or athletic administrator.
As such, the criteria below were developed by the Cassell Hall of Fame Selection Committee to
ensure that those inducted into the Cassell Hall of Fame are truly worthy of this most coveted honor.
