LEWISBURG, Pa. - The American University women's volleyball ended their weekend road trip with an impressive 3-0 win over Bucknell. With a team hitting percentage of .333 and 13 service aces, the Eagles dropped the Bison, 30-17, 30-18 and 30-25.
AU won the first and second games easily, hitting .333 and a match-high .455 in each respective game. The third game was closer as AU hit a team-low .244 and Bucknell hit their match best (.189), but it was not enough as American prevailed 30-25.
Cutrina Biddulph (Reseda, Calif./Granada Hills) had 15 kills to lead the Eagles at the net. On defense, American had eight total blocks, led by Christina Nash's (Princeton, Fla./Coral Reef) two block solos and block assists. Elizabeth Maloney (Toronto, Ontario/Richview C.I.) had a team-high four service aces as well.
American has a few days off before it hosts Howard this Tuesday at 7 p.m.
