WEST POINT, N.Y. – American University travels to Army West Point on Saturday evening for the final match of the volleyball regular season. The Eagles and Black Knights will play at 7 p.m.

The Eagles, now 19-11 overall and 13-2 in the Patriot League will look to snap a brief two-match losing streak. American has already clinched home-court advantage for next weekend's PL Tournament and will be the top seed.

SCOUTING AMERICAN

• AU lost in four sets at Holy Cross last Saturday and was swept at home by Lehigh on Tuesday night. A win by the Eagles over Army West Point would clinch the outright regular-season title for the 16th time in the 18 seasons American has been a member of the PL.

• Senior Aleksandra Kazala is second in the league offensively, averaging 3.56 kills per set. She is also second on the team in digs with 286.

• Senior middle Loren McKenzie leads the PL with a .386 hitting percentage and is second in blocks (1.17 per set).

Kennedy Etheridge leads the league at 10.03 assists per set, while libero Kristen Largay is second with 4.31 digs per set.

• With 457 digs this season, Largay has hit the single-season digs list for the third time in her career.

• American won the first meeting between the teams, sweeping the Black Knights, 25-21, 25-18 and 26-24 on Oct. 12.

SCOUTING ARMY WEST POINT

• The Black Knights still have two matches remaining in the regular season – on Friday at Bucknell and on Saturday at home against American. Army is 12-15 overall and 7-7 in the league.

• Army has three players averaging at least two kills per set – junior Courtney Horace (2.59), freshman Emmy Barnhorst (2.40) and junior Sydney Morriss (2.31). Barnhorst also averages a team-best 0.98 blocks per set.

• Sophomore middle Monica Eckford is hitting .269 and is among the PL leaders in that category.

• Sophomore libero Ana Oglivie is averaging 4.04 digs per set and is one of only five players in the league with an digs average above 4.0.
